My Journey Reaches a Blind Alley
“I know I love songs of pain That caresses the bluntness of glass Where you see yourself Broken in a million pieces Unsung Undreamt...............” P.Banerjee, The Statesman My journey has just reached a blind alley. I had set off in quest of the fast lane. As I journeyed, days slipped into weeks and weeks into months; my determination wavered and I lost my perspective. Trudging along listlessly in a labyrinthine crisscross of lanes, just when I thought, I had had a wasted journey I beheld a path which offered a fascinating vista. With renewed energy, I gamboled down that path, starry-eyed. The journey down the path, while it lasted, was a surreal mix of events and fantasy. But then when I felt that I had almost made it, the path took a sharp turn and ended abruptly. Now that it’s all over, I am left with a heart filled with images of what could have been.
