My Journey Reaches a Blind Alley

I had set off in quest of the fast lane. As I journeyed, days slipped into weeks and weeks into months; my determination wavered and I lost my perspective. Trudging along listlessly in a labyrinthine crisscross of lanes, just when I thought, I had had a wasted journey I beheld a path which offered a fascinating vista. With renewed energy, I gamboled down that path, starry-eyed. The journey down the path, while it lasted, was a surreal mix of events and fantasy. But then when I felt that I had almost made it, the path took a sharp turn and ended abruptly. Now that it’s all over, I am left with a heart filled with images of what could have been.

Till We Meet Again At Life's Crossroads

The little pleasant happenings that lit up our lives for a few moments today or the things that robbed away an hour's sleep last night, are relegated to the back of our minds, to the realm of memories. But the mind has its diversions and memories get dim as time goes by, till some are completely lost. The overwhelming tide of the present continually consigns to oblivion many such moments of our lives. This blog is intended to preserve such little trifles from the onslaught of time. Another motivation is to record things and events, occurring around me, which have struck a chord deep inside, thrown my mind into overdrive, outraged me, left me speechless with wonder, caused emotional churnings or sent me into raptures. True, they may not be chronicles of changing times, like the letters of Einstein or Tagore, but they will preserve for posterity, precious glimpses ...
